Thursday Tidbits
While rains have caused serious havoc in my Indian home town, the heat index in the US has topped the records. Seems like the mercury is mocking the nation as it soars higher by day. The city feels like an open sauna room. The moment you step out into the open during daytime, the scorching heat sizzles your skin and the humidity wrings out your energy. We all like the sun, but this heat is just too much!
Gyms are monotonous after a while. Joining some boot camp would be a good option. Never tried these, but clearing hurdles, climbing a series of walls, pulling along a rope ladder sounds like fun. Anybody experienced such activities?
Urban rooftops and windowsills are good spots for planting. You don’t have to leave home to go grocery shopping, just reach out the window. An interesting sight I saw walking past a residential area of this crowded city was that people instead of using pots to grow their greens, have instead grown their garden in coffee cans, buckets, even old drawers. Think its a good way of utilizing junk.
My Immortal by
Evanescene is the most beautiful songs I have heard. It says a lot in its own ways. Is there any such song which gives you similar feeling?
That's pretty much how random I could think today. Will end this post with a lovely quote.
Happy are those who see beauty in modest spots, where others see nothing. ~ Camille Pissarro (1830-1903)Everybody there, have a great weekend and please be safe.
